Questions
Do you install flooring you did not supply?
No. We fit the floors we supply, because that is the only way we can stand behind both the material and the fit. If a floor is already bought, an independent fitter is the right call.
How much does a new floor cost?
It depends on the material, the size and condition of the subfloor, and how much has to come out first. The measure is what turns that into a real number. We quote material and labor separately so you can see where the money goes.
Can I see samples at home?
Yes. Flooring changes character under your own light, the same way a rug does — which is a thing we have strong views about. Take samples home and look at them at different times of day before deciding.
What about the furniture?
Discuss it at the measure. Moving furniture and lifting an old floor are both part of the quote when you want them to be, and it is better agreed in writing than on the morning.
Do you fit stairs?
Yes, and it is worth saying that stairs are the part of any flooring job most likely to go wrong. They take longer and cost more per square foot than a flat room. We will price them separately so it is clear.
Do you also sell carpet?
Yes — wall-to-wall carpet is supplied and installed as well, and area rugs are what the showroom is built around.
