Plum, aubergine and soft lavender. This is a small collection by design — purple is a rare color in rug weaving, and most of what exists is traditional rather than modern.
Most of these are hand-knotted wool, where the purple comes through as a deep, slightly variable aubergine rather than a flat printed tone. That variation is what keeps a strong color from reading as loud.
Purple works best in a room that is otherwise restrained, and it pairs unusually well with gray and warm brass. Because the selection is small, if you have a size in mind and cannot see it here, ask us — we can often source a specific piece.
