Brown Rugs

Chocolate, camel, rust and every warm neutral in between. Brown is the most practical color a rug can be — it hides traffic, soil and pet hair better than gray, and it warms a room with a lot of hard surfaces in it.

This collection leans hand-knotted and wool, more so than most of the store. Browns in wool come from the fleece as much as the dye pot, which is why a hand-knotted brown rug has depth and slight variation that a printed brown never manages.

Brown sits naturally against leather, walnut and oak, and it is the safest choice under a dining table for the same reason red is: what gets spilled mostly disappears.
