The Rug Mall is a family-owned area rug retailer based in central New Jersey, serving homeowners and designers across the tri-state area and nationwide. With over 30 years of hands-on experience in the rug industry, we specialize in hand-knotted wool, silk, and wool-blend area rugs sourced directly from artisan workshops in India, Afghanistan, and beyond.
What Sets Us Apart
We're not a faceless online warehouse — we're rug people. Every rug in our collection has been personally selected for its craftsmanship, material quality, and design integrity. Our inventory spans over 1,900 area rugs across traditional Persian and Oriental patterns, modern geometric designs, and transitional styles that bridge the two. Most of our rugs are hand-knotted from 100% wool pile, with select collections in luxurious wool-silk and wool-viscose blends.

Choosing a rug online can feel risky — that's why we offer free in-home consultations in the New Jersey area. We'll bring samples directly to your home so you can see how colors, textures, and sizes work with your existing furniture and lighting. No obligation, no pressure.
Professional Rug Cleaning & Repair
Beyond sales, we offer full-service rug cleaning and rug repair from our facility in New Jersey. Our traditional cleaning process uses organic, chemical-free methods — dusting, hand-washing, natural drying, and grooming — to restore your rugs safely for your family and pets. We also handle fringe repair, re-binding, patching, and moth damage restoration.
