Runner rugs are built for hallways, entryways, staircases, and narrow spaces like galley kitchens — anywhere a room's length matters more than its width.

Most of this collection is power-loomed in polypropylene and polyester, and that is the right call for a hallway rather than a compromise: a corridor takes more feet per square foot than any other part of a house, and a dense low pile handles that better than anything else at the price. There are hand-knotted wool runners here too, for a staircase or an entry hall where the rug is genuinely on show. Filter by weave to separate the two.

You will find traditional patterns, which suit classic entryways and staircases, alongside modern geometric and solid-tone designs for contemporary homes.
