Rugs for patios, decks, porches and covered outdoor rooms — and for indoor spots that behave like outdoor ones, such as a mudroom or a sunroom floor that takes wet boots.

These are predominantly polypropylene, woven rather than tufted. That combination is what makes an outdoor rug work: polypropylene does not absorb water, so it does not hold mildew, and the color is locked into the fiber rather than dyed onto the surface, so sun fades it slowly. You can hose one down and stand it on edge to dry.

They are not indestructible. A rug left permanently soaking under a planter will still grow mold underneath, and a fully exposed deck in full southern sun will lighten a rug over several seasons. Lift it occasionally and let the deck dry.

Sizes here run from small entry pieces up to 10x14, so a large covered patio is well covered. Shipping is a flat $25, and free on orders over $200.
